Features of the Best Pushchair Travel Systems
When you are expecting your baby, on the shopping list for your new born will definitely appear a pushchair and car seat, or perhaps a traditional baby carriage. Presently baby carriages with huge wheels are outmoded, and have been replaced with collapsible buggies and strollers that are both easy to maneuver and fold away into your car. This however still creates the problem of waking baby to put him in his car seat; that was until the invention of the all in one travel system.
There are various types of ‘Pushchair Travel Systems’ such as ‘rear facing maxi cosi’ (allows to watch your baby as you stroll; and when it is time to get back in the car; simply unclip and strap into to the car or fold away and place in the trunk of your car),‘silver cross or the Graco mirage travel system’ (great buggy—needs subtle adjustment with the car seat); there are many modern sophisticated pushchair systems added by microchips and software system.
But the most general features of the best Pushchair Travel System are as follows:
- Pushchair brake pedals – must have good brake pedals which are easy to put on and off to avoid accidents.
- Folding mechanisms – Pushchairs with a good folding mechanism always give extra advantages.
- Pushchair handles– pushchair with handles that turn inward helps to support the wrist in a natural position and make pushing more comfortable.
- Reclining backrests – Best pushchairs for newborn babies have a recline greater than 150 degrees.
- Pushchairs with suspension – Pushchairs with suspension generally give a more comfortable ride.
- Adjustable leg support – very effective for smaller children, instead of this support some pushchairs have a push-button or lever mechanism.
- Pushchair tyres – pneumatic tyres give a smooth ride on bumpy surfaces offer soft ride, but real headache if pushchair gets a puncture.
- Pushchairs with swivel wheels – for extra stability, swivel front wheels makes easy to manoeuvre on normal ground, but less suitable for rougher ground.
The most important things to look for in a pushchair system are indeed the safety features such as the breaks and the adjustment for the harness. A good buggy should have a sturdy but easy to release break as well as wheels that can be turned through 360 degrees when necessary.Travel systems that allow for baby to travel in style both in and out of the car without having to be disturbed really are dominating the market these days.

Baby Strollers Safety
My baby looks so cute in my lap and at the same time i really feel so safe and secure for my baby. The same is the feeling that an affectionate and loving mother is looking for when she has her cute baby in the stroller. Motherhood is like the shade of a tree saving her baby from harm.
Baby strollers are a good choice for all those mothers who want apples of their eyes to be in front of their eyes. Baby strollers’ safety and security is something that can never be compromised. Here are some basic tips that each and every mother should follow to assure the safety of their baby strollers.
Shopping a stroller
A mother is really conscious of the needs of her baby. Baby strollers are available in the markets in different styles, capacities and budgets as well. A mother mostly considers all these things while shopping a stroller.
Go to the shopping mall with a view to shop a stroller that is comfortable with you too as you are to get along with that. The structure of the stroller frame must be sturdy and the manufacturer of the same should certified either by American Society for Testing Materials or Juvenile Products Manufacturer Associates.
This can be verified with a sticker pasted on the stroller. One thing that would be of excitement is the choice of a baby stroller that you can have with you in your morning walk. The stroller provides for your baby’s safety when it is capacious, smart, well equipped and above all if it is handy too. So your first guide is to shop a stroller keeping in mind all the above matters. Your smartness is really going to work for your smiling faced baby.
Maintenance
You may be having a second baby and intending to use the same stroller as used for your older baby. Be sure that stroller is maintained regularly. While going out, stroller should be assured of its safety regarding the tightness its wheels and proper working of its breaks. Always check whether harness is in good condition and stitched. Buckles are working properly. The maintenance is much important to avoid any kind of mishap.
Words of Manufacturer
While designing the stroller, a manufacturer has fully tested the same to comply with all of the standards of stroller safety and security. Read the instructions by the manufacturer and before using that, read the complete description of its manual and operating instructions.
Using the Stroller
Keep your baby at a safety distance while opening and closing the stroller. In this regard, instructions should be read carefully. A loving mother gives priority to the safety of her baby to everything else. So if you are in haste, be a bit cool for some time before arranging the stroller for your baby. Put the baby and buckle up gently so that a cute and innocent smile is passed over to you in response. Always keep the breaks at your ease because strollers are easily rolled over a little incline.
Attend Your Baby
Never leave your innocent baby without any supervising eye. There should always be someone to attend a baby. Strollers, as mentioned are easily rolled over a slight incline, so someone must be there to grab the breaks. Keep giving a sounding smile to your baby after every two or three minutes. This would be not only something to refresh a mother but baby safety would also be assured. Lock the wheels when you keep the stroller stationery for a while.
The above guidelines must be ensured for the baby stroller safety so that you are always contented with you. Share your experiences with other mothers so that all the babies keep laughing and doing all what they want to do being all safe and secure.

How to buy a baby car seat
Buying a correct fitting car seat for your baby is essential for a correct baby care routine. All car seats have to pass regulation standards and are put through tests to make sure they come up to standards.
You will find in Europe for example, the kite mark symbol on all baby car sears, just like on all products that have passed the safety standards.
Baby car seats are available in an enormous range of designs, some that combine with the baby carriage, making a two in one baby transport system, and others that are simply for use in the car.
All baby car seats are marked with the weight range for which they are intended. This start with group 0, that is generally for new born baby up to 9kg or around nine months of age. Then there are baby seats of group 0 + 1, group two etc, some car seats being suitable right from birth up to the age of three or four years.
Buying the correct car seat is always a good investment, and often it is logical to buy one that will last you through the first years of baby’s life, so spending a little extra actually means saving money, as instead of replacing your group 0 seat for a group 1 and then 2 etc, you will only need one seat from when your baby is new born.
For the first few months, baby car seats are designed to be positioned so they are rear facing witihn the car, and for as long as is possible, to keep your seat this way, as any impact or bump will mean that baby will move less.
Fitting your car seat correctly is as important as buying the correct model in the first place. When the car seat is used in a rear facing position, the safety belt of the car is inter twined to the seat before clipped in place, to ensure the seat cannot move. Baby is then strapped into the seat with her own harness. When the seat is designed for all age groups, the seat will have various different positions for threading the harness, being able to accommodate anything from a new born to a three year old child. Consult your baby care manual or visit your health center for more advice on which car seat to buy. When buying one that is suited to all ages, we must remember that the seat must have reclining positions, other wise it is not suitable for the new baby, as her delicate spine must be in a horizontal position.
We may find that our first baby stroller comes complete with what is commonly known as a maxi cosi. This clips onto the stroller, and is also a group 0 car seat. This is a practical solution as sleeping baby can be lifted from the car and clipped on to her stroller without being woken, although this type of seat can only be used for a maximum of up to 9kg or around nine months of age.
Whichever car seat you choose, or how ever much you decide to spend, follow these two baby care rules. Buy a safety y standards passed car seat, and then correctly fit it in your car.

Choosing the correct pram for baby
When baby is born, we must remember that she is delicate, and her spine and bones are not yet fully formed and she is not able to support the weight of her own head, let alone sit up. So choosing the correct pram for baby is vital, especial for those first few months of baby’s life.
Depending on your budget, you can spend a little to a lot on your baby transport system. Some of us prefer to first use a traditional style carriage pram for the first few months of life, and then swap over to a stroller, these traditional prams having the correct suspension so that baby will not feel uncomfortable if the pram goes over bumpy terrain.
What is vital for your new born, and will be confirmed by your baby care specialist, paediatrician, or any good baby care book or manual is that for at least the first three months of life, baby must be lying in a horizontal position, her spine too weak to support her weight in any other position.
However, if we have a tighter budget, we can find alternatives to buying a carriage pram that will only be used for the first few months of baby’s life.
Advertised in all baby care magazines and on the television, and found in all high street stores and specialist baby care shops are the most modern baby transport systems. We can find two in one or three in one options, and depending on the make and model, we can find economic option, or spend a small fortune for our new born.
The most economic option is the two in one maxi cosi and stroller, the maxi cosi as is commonly known, being a combined group 0 car seat suitable form new born, allowing baby to travel securely strapped in in a rear facing position in the car. The maxi cosi simple clips and un clips to the stroller, allowing you to lift sleeping baby out of the car and put her onto her stroller or carry her into the home without waking her.
A disadvantage of this two in one option, is that once baby reaches 9kg or approximately nine moths, the maxi cosi will no longer be of any use, and although you already have a stroller, you will have to purchase a new car seat.
An alternative is to buy a car seat that is suitable right from birth through to up to two or three years of age, and buy a combination of a baby carriage that converts into a stroller when baby is bigger and able to sit up. There is such a wide variety on the market and so many styles and colors to choose from.
The most important thing to remember when purchasing your baby carriage is to check that it has passed the required health and safety checks, and when it is part used as a car seat, that it is a licensed product that can be used in a car, this being clearly marked on the product as well as being stated in any instruction leaflets that will come with the pram or seat.

Baby Sleeping bags
Baby sleeping bags are similar to sleeping bags for adults, with the exception that they have holes for the arms of baby, to keep the bag in place securely, usually closing with a zipper, and preventing any possible danger of suffocation.
Baby sleeping bags are always made of breathable material, and are, contrary to some baby care myths, safe to use. When we talk about the new born, if our baby is born in winter, a sleeping bag can be extremely useful, as baby has very restricted movement when he is cold, unable to shake and shiver to warm himself up.
If the new born’s crib is made up correctly, with the sheets only coming up to a level of around the neck of baby, and no pillow being necessary, we can put baby to sleep snug and warm in her sleeping back, and rest assured that she is safe.
An incorrectly made up bed can be a potential hazard as baby has no way of telling us when she is trapped or cannot move under the covers. Pillows or cushions are totally unnecessary, as will be confirmed in any good baby care book or by any paediatrician, as until baby is strong enough to lift his head, usually starting around two weeks of life, pillows and cushions are a danger to baby as if he vomits he may suffocate on his pillow, unable to move his head.
Baby sleeping bags are great for when baby becomes more mobile too, as they ensure that baby stays warm at night in winter, as when baby is able to move, he will tick at his covers and sometimes leave himself uncovered and cold.
Especially if your new born has his own nursery, and does not share your room at birth, sleeping bags can be a major plus point, and save many trips to baby’s bedroom to check that his covers are still in place. With the invention of the baby monitor, especially the most modern versions with video screen, we can put baby safely to sleep in a separate room when we wish, safe in the knowledge that the video sensor will light up the screen if baby wakes or makes sudden movements.
Sleeping bags come in a vast range of designs, styles and thickness. Consult your baby care book or paediatrician if you are unsure which one to buy. They come in varying lengths as well, but really, the “too long” is not an option, as baby will grow and very quickly.
Baby sleeping bags are available in light weight materials too, so they can be used not only in winter, but in summer, instead of sheets. Whatever the eventuality, you can rest assured that your new born will be draft free, snug and warm in his sleeping bag, without any possible resulting harm.
Again, whether we choose to spend a little or a lot is entirely our own choice, as baby will grow quickly, so investing in a bag that appears large at first is not really such a bad idea.

Baby safety products
Nowadays there is an enormous range of baby safety products available on the market, finding them advertised in baby care magazines, and for sale in high street chain stores as well as specialist baby care stores.
There is a product for absolutely every thing you can think of as to concerns the safety of your new born or baby. We can by safety gates for toddlers, special catches and latches to stop opening doors and drawers, baby monitors with video screen so we can watch baby sleeping from another room in the house, even monitors that have a sleep mode and light up when your new born moves or makes a sound.
Baby safety products have become too commercialized and competitive, and vary in price greatly form high street store to special baby boutique. What really is most important is if the baby safety product that we are purchasing is in fact safe for the usage it was intended.
All baby safety products must pass safety standards, as for all baby toys and accessories, and health warning and suitability of age for products or toys should all be clearly marked on the products.
So what essential baby safety products do we need? For our new born, as she is unable to move around by herself, she cannot really get herself into too much danger. The most important safety products when baby is new born are her crib and the fact that her mattress passes safety standards, and that her baby carriage is suitable for her, as well as her baby car seat.
The most important thing for baby when she is new born is that she is in a position where she is comfortable, and this we can learn about in our baby care manual or by consulting our paediatrician, as baby cannot tell us. For example, it is important for our new born that she is not made to sit up in her car seat or baby carriage, as this can be damaging to the spine.
A good fitting, safety standard passed car seat, for a new born ensures that baby travels safely and comfortably. Make sure that the seat reclines , so that baby is basically lying flat, as this is the position in which she must be for the first few months of life.
As baby grows and becomes more mobile, especially when baby starts to crawl, is it important that our house and surroundings are safe to baby. That there are no hazards where baby might fall, or that in her crib, we lower the base, and make sure we have bumpering around the cot so baby cannot get her arm or leg caught between the bars.
We can make our house safe with special covers to cover over unused plug sockets, and catches to ensure baby cannot open windows or doors by herself etc.. The range of products on the market is huge, it is up to us as the parents to choose what we really find is necessary and useful to our particular situation. But the most important rule is to make sure that the safety products we will buy have passed the safety standards themselves.

Baby Cot Safety
There are many factors we should consider when choosing a cot for baby, as well as where we put baby to sleep. The most important aspect of purchasing a cot is its’ mattress, as today, there are safety standards that cot mattresses must pass, as it has been proven that there is a link between bad quality mattresses and Sudden Infant death Syndrome, however, this tragic event can take place anywhere, not just in baby’s cot, but has adopted this name as baby spends most of her sleeping hours in her crib or cot.
So when we go shopping for baby’s cot or crib, or if we decide to buy a second hand cot, or are given one as a present, the first thing we must check, before the price tag or design, is the safety standards.
If we buy our crib from high street chain stores or baby care stores, then the establishment will not allow goods to be sold that have not passed the required testing.
So , once we are sure that we are buying a product that has passed the safety standards, we are then free to choose design, bedding, accessories etc.
Some people choose to put baby in a Moises basket or mini crib for the first few months, there being a big range, including onces that rock by themselves, every gimmick and gadget possible. When purchasing a Moises, remember that baby will only use it for around three months, as soon as she can move around and sit up aided by the bars in the side, the Moises is no longer a viable option as baby can fall.
Although you may like to treat your new born to a special first crib, buying a normal size crib or cot is more practical in this aspect of baby care. A standard crib will have at least two height settings, and the front bars can be lowered and heightened with a latch system.
This means that a normal cot is suitable from birth right through till baby uses a normal bed, lowering the base of the cot once baby learns to stand etc.
Making up the crib correctly for your new born is also of utmost importance. Even though it may look unusual, it is vital that baby’s head is free from the top of the sheets, meaning making the cot sheets up from the bottom up, baby’s head actually lying around the middle of the cot or crib. Once baby can move around and has the strength to lift her head unaided, we can make up the cot sheets as a normal bed, and introduce the usage of a pillow, pillows must not be used for new borns as you will see clearly stated in any baby care book. This is as baby does not have the strenght to lift her own head, and the use of a pillow could lead to suffocation.
Lastly room temperature is important, the optimal temperature being twenty one or twenty two degrees. Keep the cot or crib out of drafty areas, and avoid situations where baby may overheat. In summer, use just a thin sheet to cover baby.
In conclusion, using the correct cot, made up in the correct way is far more important than having matching sheets, blankets, cot bumpers and decorations. Always safety first.

Baby bouncers and walkers
Many parents choose to buy baby a baby bouncer or a baby walker, but we must look at the reason why these products are being purchased, and if they are really necessary for baby, and even if they are bad for baby’s development, the traditional baby walker having been banned in some countries, and no longer available on sale either in specialist baby stores or high street chains.
When baby is new born, she needs little distractions, as of her twenty four hours, she will spend nearly twenty sleeping, and the rest eating. But as our new born baby quickly grows, her eyesight develops, she begins to roll over and grasp toys, sit up, crawl and finally walk.
With each stage of growth from new born to baby to infant, baby will spend less time asleep and more time awake, needing entertainment or to be entertained. With the high speed life styles that we lead in the twenty first century, we rarely fund a mother who has all her time to devote to her new born, so we find products to keep baby amused whilst we get on with house chores or work. When baby gets older and can sit up and crawl, a lot of parents opt to use a baby pen or den, knowing that it is soft and cushioned , and that baby can come to no harm sat therein while we cook the dinner or tend to the laundry etc..
Two other products, that however are very controversial, are the baby bouncer and the baby walker. Baby walkers have already been taken off sale in many countries, and if you consult your baby care specialist, or health care worker at your baby care center, you will find only negative reports about the usage of baby walkers. The name baby walker suggests that it is an aid to baby walking. This is entirely untrue, as baby does not practice to hold her own balance whilst sat in the baby walker, only moving around, pushing herself from wall to furniture and back. Baby walkers were introduced as a distraction for baby, something that will amuse baby so we don’t have to. In some situations a distraction for baby is not a bad idea, but in the case of the baby walker, actually impedes normal development, as a baby who is put in a baby walker for long periods of time every day will actually be later to lean to walk unaided.
Another controversial “distraction” for baby is the baby bouncer, baby loving the feeling of being bounced around, and up and down. However, baby bouncers have also been proven to be non beneficial to baby’s’ development, as well as dangerous if not fitted properly, the regular baby bouncer being fitted above a door frame. We do not know how strong or durable the door frame of our house is, and as baby gains in weight, many a baby bouncer has come to snap free from its supposed safety fittings.
If you wish baby to bounce, your best option is a trip to the park, where you play together with baby on specially designed bouncing toys, where you are by baby’s side to check baby is safe.
Although these two products, the baby bouncer and the baby walker are still available and on sale in many countries, as well as still being widely used, general opinion of any qualified professional in child development or baby care, is to stay well clear of these products, as not only can they slow down the natural learning processes of baby, they can also be unsafe.

Dairy-Free Toddlers
It’s really a miracle moment in parents life when new baby comes to any home and this is the time never forgettable the whole life. This happiness and affection is one of the greatest blessings gifted by God and is only the time of happiness but also a great exam for both father and a mother. As well as bring up a baby, it’s not as easy as it seems to be.
Obviously he is totally dependent upon parents for eating, cleaning, playing and sleeping. Of course, mostly babies sleep 18 hrs a day he up at night after a while and need feed.
The day, the new born comes and evens the birth there are different excitements including the gifts, toys, cloth, food and especially the name given to the new one. Not only parents are but the whole relatives are also involved in this excitement.
Choosing a name of a child is really kike parents or relatives are finding are on a treasure hunt. Majority of parents intension is baby name should be meaningful. In order, to do find name this different ways are adopted like several books are published and a number of website are performing for this purpose.
Few, don’t give importance to name, they don’t striving nor take interest, give unusual names to their little ones as for example Candy, Valley Girl and Berry etc.
Meaningless or unusual name would create a lot of problems not only in the education career but the whole life, till they change his or her name himself. But name matters, indeed. It would identify kid, it also affects personality, and it matters in school and university performances, it really represents himself throughout his life. Finding names also shows how you love your baby and how careful about him.
There is no such thing as precious as mothers feeding; it’s a natural process for baby’s first food has all the nutrition that a new one needs. Bottle milk is also good but what is the comparison to mother’s milk. But some mothers don’t feed their baby due to some factors.
She either is a working woman or has some physical problem. A baby only cries when he is hungry, untidy and has some other problem like stomach gas. It’s always a belief that only mother’s role is more in bringing up children that father, if mother feeds father also feeds with bottle milk if the baby feels hungry.
Father should have an equal role in bring up baby as a mother has. He should know how to handle baby when the mother is busy or absent or a working lady? He should know to bath and clean and entertain with rhyming poems and lullaby.
